To fully utilize the potential of the cloud, applications and systems often need to be adjusted, redesigned, or even completely redeveloped. A successful migration project requires expertise, experience, and careful planning to avoid disruptions to daily operations. This is where Cloud Shift for AWS comes in.
How it works
Cloud Shift for AWS is aimed at customers who want to either migrate individual applications or their entire infrastructure to the AWS Cloud. We partner you from planning through implementation to optimizing your resource usage. We support you in your smooth and fast transition to the cloud. In order to do so, we follow these steps:

The planning
We define the project goals and requirements together with you and your team. We then determine what resources we need to achieve these goals.

Inventory
At the beginning there is the recording and assessment of the existing IT environment, contact with the right contact persons and monitoring of the processes. We also sharpen the objectives again in this step.

Conception
Next we are designing a migration plan and planning the next steps. We name the workloads to be migrated, prioritize the individual work steps and identify the required resources and tools. We also create a time and budget plan.

Architecture
We develop, document and implement the architecture and design of the cloud environment. This also includes the configuration of security policies, automation pipelines, networks and connections to the existing infrastructure.

Migration
In this phase, the workloads are migrated and tested to ensure that they function properly in the new environment.

Optimization
We monitor the resource usage and performance of the migrated workloads. We also optimize where necessary, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

Validation
In this final phase, we validate the results of the project to ensure that all requirements are met and the workloads have been successfully migrated to the cloud.
